The role of the QWWF is to assist in the promotion and development of sports affiliated with WAWA in Queensland. To enable this we will provide assistance where necessary to the divisions whose primary roles include;
- Administration of their respective divisions
- Develop the skills of competitors, coaches, competition officials, organisers and safety personnel
- Maintain a safe, fun, family friendly environment
- Promote fairness, ethical behaviour and good sportsmanship amongst members
- Promote and grow the sport
- Foster Junior Development
- Provide pathways for skiers to compete in elite level competitions
- Provide direction and support to clubs affiliated with the WAWA
- Maintain Membership of QSport
- The Queensland Government assists organisations with the development of sporting activities in Queensland. The QWWF and its divisions wish to acknowledge this support in assisting in improving our corporate governance capabilities, developing the capabilities of both our officials and competitors, and assisting our capability to hold state and national competition in regional Queensland.
